ROBERTA  A.  "KELLY" DILL

Roberta A. "Kelly" Dill, 58, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota,
died Sunday, November 2, 2003, at her residence after a long,
courageous battle against cancer.

Kelly was born September 26, 1945, to Lawrence and Betty (Sampson) Kelly
in Spirit Lake, Iowa.  She was raised there and graduated from
Spirit Lake High School.  She graduated from
Minneapolis Business College in 1964.

On July 26, 1969, she married David Nicholas Dill in
St. Paul, Minnesota.  They moved to Sioux Falls in 1973.
She held various clerical positions with several businesses,
although her main focus in life was to always be a loving,
kind, and gentle wife, mother and grandmother.

Kelly loved to spend her time with her family,
friends and beloved pets.  She enjoyed fishing,
shopping, eating out, playing the slot machines in
Deadwood, and spending time on her computer.
She especially loved spending time with her grandson,
Brandon Michael.

Kelly had a wonderful, witty, sense of humor.  She had a
loving, patient presence in the lives of those who loved her.
In the past year, she fulfilled two of her life-long wishes:
she visited Las Vegas and rode in a hot air balloon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother,
Terry "Pete" Kelly, a special friend, Jason Griffin. a great-niece,
Sarah Weber, and a nephew-by-marriage, Charles "Chuck" Pendleton.

Grateful for having shared her life are:
her husband, David; her two daughters,
Julie and Kristin (Shawn) Lohnes; her grandson,
Brandon Lohnes, all of Sioux Falls; brothers, Jim (Judy)
Kelly, Maple Grove, MN, Gary (Ruth Ann) Kelly,
Spirit Lake, IA, Larry (Dorothy) Kelly, Superior, IA;
sisters Peg (Jack) Macy, Columbia, MO; and
Mary Blum, Spencer, IA; her two faithful
companions, Andy Mo and Lexie, and many
nieces and nephews.
